Just install the Morgan Stream Switcher. That will allow you to choose one or the other of the audio tracks when using, without getting the sound from both at the same time. Although why anyone in his right mind would consciously choose as their default player is beyond me. Have you even tried out some of the other (much better) players?

Works like a charm. To anyone else reading this thread - MMSwitch says it's compatible with up to 9 and hasn't been updated since May 2003, but it works PERFECTLY with WMP 11 (at least so far). To answer your question about why I choose WMP it's because with minor tweaking (basically this program and klite codec) it is by far the nicest looking player out there.

I often watch video in a small window (as opposed to full-screen) and I don't need to have some hideous 1995 eye-sore like WMP classic in my view. Thanks for the help to both of you guys! I prefered this solution because I don't want to permanently change the files.
